National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated
We are a sorority, the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. that consists of educators from the Beta Phi Chapter located in Compton, CA. We support our youth groups which consist of young ladies called Xinos and young gentlemen called Kudos. They range in age from 14 to 17 years old, which are mainly 9th - 12th grade high school students.
Our goal is to foster good moral character, academic awareness, community pride and to instill leadership skills. Our youth elect their own
officers and they are guided how to conduct a meeting using parliamentary procedures. They become aware of their community by
participating and engaging in
community service for non-profit
organizations. Our chapter offers
peer tutoring/ mentoring/ academic and educational workshops. We also offer scholarships and college requirement workshops.
We meet once a month, but can have a flexible meeting time to fit the needs of our youth.
Each youth will be given a T-shirt in their respective colors. T-shirts ( Xinos green and white or brown and beige for Kudos-boys) are to be worn during our meetings and outings. Our annual dues are $25. We hope you see the benefits of this program. We look forward to working with your child.
